A Retirement Note from Sue and Andy

It has been our pleasure to serve as Messy Church Canada’s Team Leaders for almost 12 years and a privilege to work with so many wonderful people across Canada to see the development and growth of Messy Churches across Canada. Special thanks for all the support and encouragement from BRF and particularly from Lucy Moore, founder of Messy Church.

Andy and I ‘officially’ retired from our roles as of March 31, 2021 and will watch with excitement as Messy Church Canada moves forward in new, exciting directions under the leadership of a team coordinated by Rev. Carol Fletcher (Transcona Memorial United Church, Winnipeg MB). Carol has been involved at the national level since 2014 and brings much Messy Church experience with her.

Thanks again for the opportunities to share Christ’s ministry!

On April 12, 2021 the BRF published at article in appreciation of Sue and Andy — here’s the link: https://www.brf.org.uk/farewell-sue-andy/

  1. After attending a 1 day Messy church workshop run by Sue and Andy, their enthusiasm and commitment to the Messy church program just would not leave my thoughts. After some soul searching and a long chat with our minister ,I just knew that this was something our local church needed to do. When I expressed my concerns about funding and attracting volunteers and participants our minister said.”Stop worrying..God will provide.”This has been so true ,right from the very beginning. Sue and Andy set the bar high and inspired us in such a positive way.God has certainly provided the right people at exactly the right time.Thankyou Sue and Andy.
